Peak demand: The greatest demand for electricity in a stated period of time such as the greatest demand during a month or a year.
Peak electricity: Electricity that is consumed at a time of the day or day of the week when system demand is high. This will depend on your electricity tariff.
Power Grid: A network of electric power lines and associated equipment used to transmit and distribute electricity over a geographic area. See also Grid and Network.
Photovoltaic cell: An electric cell made from two layers of different materials that can produce an electric current when light shines on the cell. |
