Fossil fuels: Coal, oil or natural gas that result from the fossilisation of ancient plants or animals. These fuels are used to produce electricity.

FRMP (Financially Responsible Market Participant): The retailer that is financially responsible for supplying the electricity to a premises. This occurs when someone provides explicit informed consent to transfer to a retailer.

FRC (Full Retail Contestability or Full Retail Competition): Extending the right to choose an electricity retailer to all customers, regardless of consumption. Read about the introduction of FRC in Queensland in 2007.
